An historical drama based on an incident from Cuban history: a slaveowner in the late 18th century decides to instruct his slaves in the tenets of Christianity by inviting twelve of them to a reenactment of the Last Supper.   • Santitos -- Based on the novel by María Amparo Escondón, this 1998 film tells the story of the widowed Esperanza who after losing her daughter to a rare virus, searches her faith for an explanation. When St. Jude appears to her and tells her that her daughter is still alive, Esperanza becomes convinced her daughter was kidnapped and sold as a sex slave. Becoming a prostitute, she sets out to find her daughter in Tijuana. Location: DVD Stacks PS3555.S264 E8518 2003

This documentary shows some of their songs being recorded in the studio, concert footage from Amsterdam and New York City, and some of the musicians talking about their lives in Cuba and how they got started in music.   • The Little Prince's Rap Against the Wicked Souls: [o rap do pequeno principe contra as almas sebosas] Brazil, 2002, directed by Paulo Calda and Marcelo Luna. Documentary about two young men and their hip-hop lives in the large Brazilian city of Recife: one a musician and the other a murderer.
