The Library's CD ROM Network has six CD ROMs. To access
them, click on the link below and follow the installation instructions.
Windows
Users: To access State Personal Income on
CD ROM, complete the following steps. You only have to do this once.
- Click on the following link:
\\cdserver.pugetsound.edu
- Right click on SPI_1969_2002.
- Select Map Network Drive
- Take the default drive letter.
- Check "reconnect at logon" option. Click
FINISH.
- Double Click on the blue
SETUP.EXE icon with a blue computer next to it.
- Accept any other defaults that appear.
- You can now access State Personal Income from your computer.
Click the START button in the lower left corner
of your desktop. Select Programs.
State Personal Income will be listed there. Select to load.
Windows
Users: To access Perseus on
CD ROM, complete the following steps. You only have
to do this once.
- Click on the following link:
\\cdserver.pugetsound.edu
- Right click on Perseus-1
and select Map Network Drive
- Take the default drive letter
- Check "reconnect at logon" option. Click
FINISH.
- Repeat steps 1-3 for Perseus-2,
Perseus-3, Perseus-4.
- Open My Computer and
Double Click on
Persues-1
icon on your mapped drive to view its contents.
- Locate and open the folder named WinInstall. It
will have two items in it: Perseus and Fonts.
- Double-click the item named Perseus.
- Click OK. Choose the
name and location of the folder you'd like to place Perseus, or accept the
default location.
- Click UnZip.
- When the archive has been unzipped successfully, you will be prompted accordingly.
Click OK. Then click
Close.
- Return to the WinInstall folder.
- Double click on Fonts.
- You will be prompted concerning the name and location of the folder into which you
wish to install the fonts. Click UnZip.
- When the archive has been unzipped successfully, you will be prompted accordingly.
Click OK. Click close.
- You have now installed the software and fonts required to run
Perseus on your computer.
To Use Perseus:
1. Locate
Perseus on your computer.
a. Open
My Computer
b.
Double Click on the C drive
2. Double Click on the item named
Perseus.
3. Double Click on the
Perseus.bat file
4. Momentarily, the Perseus gateway will appear.
Perseus is now ready to use!
Macintosh Users:
- Open the Perseus Disk 1 icon on your desktop.
- Open the folder named MacInstall.
- Drag the folder named Perseus folder from the
MacInstall folder to your hard drive.
- In the MacInstall folder, open the folder named Put fonts in
System folder.
- Please read the README file on the Greek font.
- Simply drag the suitcases named Athenian fonts and
NancyBlue onto your System
Folder. The computer will ask if you wish to store these fonts in the font folder. Click
OK.
- You have now installed the software and fonts required to run Perseus.
Startup:
1.Go to the Perseus folder on your hard drive.
2.Double click on the item named Perseus.
3.A startup screen will appear telling you that Perseus is loading.
4.Momentarily, the Perseus gateway will appear.
Perseus is now ready to use!
Windows
Users: To access
Charitable Trust Directory
2005-2006 on
CD ROM, complete the following steps.
- Click on the following link:
\\cdserver.pugetsound.edu
- Double Click on Charitable_Trust_Directory_2005-2006.
- Double Click the pdf file
Windows
Users: To access the
Biblical Archaeology Society
CD ROMs, complete the following steps. You only have to do this once.
- Click on the following link:
\\cdserver.pugetsound.edu
- Right click on needed Biblical Archaeology Society CD
ROM.
- Select Map Network Drive
- Take the default drive letter.
- Check "reconnect at logon" option. Click
FINISH.
- The Biblical Archaeology
Society CD ROM will automatically open.
- To open the CD ROM at a later date, open My Computer and
Double Click on
BAS_
