Periodical Request Rationale

Faculty may either submit their requests online by entering subscription information below and clicking the "Submit Periodical Request" button or request a printed form from their Liaison Librarian.

Please complete this form for each title requested.

The deadline for submitting requests for the next calendar year varies. For more information regarding dates of consideration, please contact your Liaison Librarian. Faculty only may submit subscription requests.

Important criteria that the Library will consider when evaluating requests are:

Periodical Information

Completed information is VITAL to consideration of your request.













Serials will provide price/availability information for back files to department which may purchase out of its book funds.



#1 ESSENTIAL
for student research and instruction and/or faculty for class preparation. Students and faculty will consult this title regularly.

#2 IMPORTANT
for the discipline though less closely related to existing instruction. May be of importance for advanced research, but not as broadly applicable as #1.

#3 USEFUL
but not central to instruction and study. May fill individual research needs of a specialized nature or provide supplementary information of a more general nature.
